Imbolc Sabbat

The Imbolc sabbat marks the return of light and the awakening of the earth. After the Yule sabbat, we arrive at the Imbolc sabbat, which is generally celebrated on February 2nd. This sabbat is often linked to the Celtic goddess Brigid, goddess of purification, wisdom, and fertility.

At Imbolc, we sow our first seeds for the days to come. Imbolc marks the return of light, as the days lengthen, gradually chasing away winter.

Imbolc symbolizes a form of rebirth and hope for future projects. It's an ideal time to gestate (Imbolc means "in the belly") everything that is destined to hatch in the coming weeks. Imbolc invites us to light candles and let our inner light shine.
